We were just kind of rummaging around through some of our past work, and we came across this video we created in 2016, which for some reason, we just never got around to publishing.
In spending a few minutes with it, it quickly became apparent that the topic addressed in this video is every bit as relevant now as it was five years ago when we recorded it. Thus our choice to publish it today.
And that is, that LIFESTYLE - stressful, hectic, balanced, or bland - is the key element in a person’s life that determines whether they are likely to develop stress-related coping behaviors like hair-pulling.
Plain and simple, hair-pulling is a stress-coping mechanism. Where a person’s life is relatively stress-free, or when a person is able to manage their stress load resourcefully, we rarely see such troubling stress-coping behaviors.
When the opposite is true... Well, you probably know how that goes.
This video features the story of a client, a woman in her mid-30’s. She’s been pulling for years, and her story is the perfect illustration of someone who’s lifestyle choices have resulted in this seemingly out-of-control behavior; everything else in her life seems great - except for this one thing she simply can neither understand not get control of.
Sound familiar?
Then check out this week’s video. Let’s talk about what the challenge really is here - and most importantly what you can do to finally get a handle on this thing once and for all.
